1) Away trip to Keeper Hill on January 29th. Please register by January 22nd. 2) Joint walk in the Knockmealdowns with the Dungarvan Walking Club on February 26th. 3) Mountaineering Ireland Spring Meet hosted by our club on March 10th and 11th. There will be 6 walks scheduled, a program of workshops and entertainment on Saturday night. We would like to appeal for volunteers for this event. 4) Dry-Run for all Club Members of Knockmealdown Crossing on April 1st 5) An inaugural 3 day event over St Patricks Weekend covering St Declan’s Way based in Lismore. 6) Weekend away at Easter (see notice board for details nearer the time). 7) Knockmealdown Crossing Saturday 14th April 2012. 8)Away trip to the Burren on May 13th
GPS Course Donal McNamara will run a GPS course for the Peaks Club on the weekend of 4 -5 Feb 2012.
Meet Eldon car park 1400 sat to set up devices. Local walk through forestry until 1800.
Sunday 0930 full hill day. Meet Eldons. No more than 4 hrs actual walking as using Maps, compass and GPS during the day.
Cost as last year 25 Euro
People should be familiar with map and compass navigation to benefit most from the course.
