Peaks Mountaineering Club Notes 12th April 2010 This weekend is a busy one for the Peaks club with the dry run for all three walks on the Knockmealdown Crossing taking place on Sunday the 18th April. Please note that all the walks start from The Glenview Lounge Gotenbridge not Eldon’s. The leaders for the walks are in your notes and are 8.30am Michael Tobin, 10.00am Michael Greene, 12pm Carol Delaney. Assistants for the leaders are yet to be determined due to unavailability of nominated members. There is an information meeting of all the volunteers for the KMD Crossing in Eldon’s on this Thursday evening 15th April at 8.30pm.The schedule for the day and instructions on your role in the events on the 24th will all be finalised. Please make a special effort to attend as this meeting will be the final one to put all the pieces into place for the big day. There is also a list of members who would like to take part in indoor climbing being compiled. This event is scheduled for Kilfinane Outdoor Education Centre sometime in May this year. This is a closed event open only to Peaks Members with instructors in attendance to the highest safety standards so put your name on the list in Eldon’s if interested.
The notes on the walks of Sunday the 11th will be in next week’s notes due to the PRO being otherwise occupied over the weekend. Visit the Peaks website on www.peaksmcclonmel.ie for an update on club activities or call the PRO Bernard on mobile no 0862937220
